Bob Huddleston began flight training while enrolled at Middle Tennessee State Teacher’s College on an air field then located on the MTSTC Campus (now MTSU). He became a flight instructor and taught flying at the University Flight School. Huddleston joined the Air Guard based in Knoxville and bought a BT-13 airplane to commute back to his home in Murfreesboro.
